The Bus Ride is a film created by Second Year MFA, Esperanza Guevara. She is pursuing a Masters in Fine Arts at the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts in Animation and Digital Arts. The film was a required assignment to be completed in one semester. Esperanza had the idea for The Bus Ride for quite a while and decided that this was the perfect time to turn a little doodle into a short film. Almost all of the props seen in this film were hand made by Esperanza. However, she created the sets, puppets and costumes for her film. It was a true labor of love.

Esperanza is a big animal lover and decided to dedicate her film to her cat, Ginger. She wanted to portray Ginger as the sweet and lovable cat she is, as well as display her playful side and inner diva.

The wonderful score for The Bus Ride was composed by Hayden Powel, a recent graduate of USC's Thornton School of Music's Department of Screen Scoring. She was able to capture the sweet, yet dangerous character of Ginger.

Esperanza continues to improve her work in stop-motion character animation. She hopes to include Ginger in future films she plans to produce during her time as a student at USC.
